Thailand eSIM not connecting: the checks, in order

  • Line on
  • Mobile data on the eSIM
  • Pick the network by hand

The short answer

Check four things in order: the eSIM line is on, it is chosen for mobile data, airplane mode has been switched off and on, and data roaming is on for the line if it does not connect. Then pick a network by hand. If it still fails, write to the store's support while you are in Thailand.

The checks

Step one: the eSIM line is on. Step two: it is set as the mobile data line. Step three: airplane mode on for ten seconds, then off, or restart the phone. Step four: if data still will not start, enable data roaming on the eSIM line.

Pick the network by hand

In the eSIM line’s settings, switch off automatic selection and try each network in the list, one by one. Wait a minute on each one.

When the data runs out

When data worked and then stopped, open your order page: once the plan’s days or data are used up, mobile data can slow or stop until the plan ends.

Write to support

If nothing works, write to the store’s support while you are still in Thailand, with your order page link, your phone model and screenshots of the mobile data settings. The store handles orders, QR codes and refunds, and its support answers in English and Vietnamese. When the eSIM cannot be made to work, the refund is full: see refunds.

Still stuck?

Orders, QR codes and refunds are handled by VietSIM support. Write with the link to your order page and your phone model.
